In the short time since the course opened in July 2006, The Golf Club at Lora Bay has played host to many prestigious events. In June 2007, The Golf Club hosted the Telus World Skins game, which saw such stars as Stephen Ames, Geoff Ogilvy, Colin Montgemerie, Retief Goosen. Not to mention, the winner, John Daly. From 2008 to 2010, The Golf Club at Lora Bay co-hosted the Nationwide Tour Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic and Celebrity Pro-Am.
